MINUTES WATER UTILITY COMMISSION REGULAR SESSION APRIL 12, 2021 ONLINE ZOOM MEETING

REGULAR SESSION AT OR AFTER 5:00 PM

CALL TO ORDER - Chair Hurt called the meeting to order at 5:06 p.m.

REGULAR SESSION AGENDA

REVIEW AND APPROVAL OF THE MARCH 8, 2021 REGULAR SESSION MEETING MINUTES


				Motion by Commissioner Greg Hitt, seconded by Vice Chair Tom Marek to approve the March 8, 2021 regular session meeting minutes as written.

			Vote: 6 - 0 Carried

	2.		THE GENESIS OF THE UTILITY’S WATER RESOURCE PORTFOLIO PRESENTATION BY ALAN FORREST, P.E., AF ENGINEERING CONSULTING SERVICES
			Water Utility Director Peter Abraham introduced Mr. Alan Forrest and reviewed his background. Principal Consultant of AF Engineering Consulting Services Alan Forrest provided a presentation and included the following: - Oro Valley Water Utility - How it started - Oro Valley Water Utility - Growing forward - Oro Valley Water Utility - Planning for the future - Oro Valley Water Utility - Plan execution - Oro Valley Water Utility - Planning continues Discussion ensued amongst the Commission, staff and Mr. Forrest regarding item #2.

	3.		TOWN COUNCIL MEETINGS/COMMUNICATIONS Councilmember Bohen provided updates on upcoming Town Council meeting agenda items.

	4.		SUBCOMMITTEE/COMMISSIONER REPORTS

		A.	FINANCE SUBCOMMITTEE - No report.

		B.	WATER RESOURCES AND CONSERVATION SUBCOMMITTEE Commissioner Hurt reported on the items discussed during the April 8, 2021 Water Resources and Conservation Subcommittee meeting.

	5.		DIRECTOR'S REPORT Water Utility Director Peter Abraham provided the Director's Report which included announcements and upcoming meetings.

FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS - No items were discussed.

ADJOURNMENT


				Motion by Commissioner Robert Milkey, seconded by Commissioner Rick Reynolds to adjourn the meeting at 6:11 p.m.

Vote: 7 - 0 Carried
