MINUTES BUDGET AND FINANCE COMMISSION REGULAR SESSION FEBRUARY 21, 2023 HOPI CONFERENCE ROOM 11000 N. LA CAÑADA DRIVE

REGULAR SESSION AT OR AFTER 4:00 PM

CALL TO ORDER - Chair Mason called the meeting to order at 4:00 P.M.

PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE - Chair Mason led the group in the Pledge of Allegiance.

CALL TO AUDIENCE - No comments were received.

STAFF LIAISON REPORT

Chief Financial Officer David Gephart reported on the following:

- The Oro Valley Town Manager search is underway.
- The budget process is ongoing for Town Staff.
- OVCN is no longer on the agenda for March 1st.

REGULAR SESSION AGENDA

REVIEW AND APPROVAL OF THE JANUARY 17, 2023 REGULAR SESSION MEETING MINUTES


				Motion by Commissioner Gerald LeMay, seconded by Vice Chair Heather Laird to approve the January 17, 2023 regular session meeting minutes as written.

		Vote: 5 - 0 Carried

	2.	PRESENTATION AND POSSIBLE DISCUSSION OF THE TOWN'S FY 22/23 FINANCIAL UPDATE THROUGH DECEMBER 2022
		Deputy Finance Director Wendy Gomez presented on Agenda Item #3. Discussion ensued amongst staff and commissioners.

	3.	PRESENTATION AND DISCUSSION OF PSPRS PENSION FUNDING AND RELATED PENSION FUNDING POLICY
		Chief Financial Officer David Gephart presented on Agenda Item #2. Discussion ensued amongst staff and commissioners.

COUNCIL LIAISON COMMENTS Mayor Joseph Winfield commented on the following: - The Strategic Leadership Plan and General Plan process - Thank you to Budget and Finance Commission members for their commitment. - Agenda items from the previous Town Council Meeting. - Agenda items for upcoming Town Council Meetings.

ADJOURNMENT


				Motion by Commissioner Jennifer Carr, seconded by Commissioner Gerald LeMay to adjourn the meeting at 5:30 P.M.

Vote: 5 - 0 Carried
