CALL TO ORDER

Chair Dankwerth called the meeting to order at 3:00 p.m.

PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE

Chair Dankwerth led the Board and audience in the Pledge of Allegiance.

CALL TO AUDIENCE - at this time, any member of the public is allowed to address the Board on any issue not listed on today’s agenda. Pursuant to the Arizona open meeting law, individual Board members may ask Town staff to review the matter, ask that the matter be placed on a future agenda, or respond to criticism made by speakers. However, the Board may not discuss or take legal action on matters raised during "Call to Audience." In order to speak during "Call to Audience", please specify what you wish to discuss when completing the blue speaker card.

There were no speaker requests.

REGULAR SESSION AGENDA

REVIEW AND APPROVAL OF THE APRIL 24, 2018 REGULAR SESSION MEETING MINUTES


4-24-18 Minutes

MOTION: A motion was made by Member Schoeppach and seconded by Vice Chair Roach to approve the minutes with one edit: the word Verizon is typed twice in the Executive Session section.

MOTION carried, 4-0.

PUBLIC HEARING: Request for a variance to reduce the required rear yard setback from 30' to 11' to allow for the addition of a porch onto the rear of the house located at 715 W. Granite View Drive (OV1800918)

Senior Planning Technician Patty Hayes gave a presentation that included the following:

- Purpose
- Location
- Zoning Requirement
- Five Criteria
- Summary

Discussion ensued amongst the Board, staff and the applicant/homeowner, Mrs. Brandt.

Chair Dankwerth opened the public hearing.

There were no speaker requests.

Chair Dankwerth closed the public hearing.

MOTION: A motion was made by Vice Chair Roach and seconded by Member Schoeppach to approve OV1800918, a variance to reduce the rear yard setback from 30' to 11', based on the finding that the five criteria have been met.

MOTION carried, 4-0.

ADJOURNMENT

Chair Dankwerth adjourned the meeting at 3:13 p.m.
