Chair Sakellar called the meeting to order at 6:00 P.M.

PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE

Chairman Sakellar led the audience in the Pledge of Allegiance.

CALL TO AUDIENCE - at this time, any member of the public is allowed to address the Board on any issue not listed on today’s agenda.  Pursuant to the Arizona Open Meeting law, individuals Board members may ask Town staff to review the matter, ask that the matter be placed on a future agenda, or respond to criticism made by speakers.  However, the Conceptual Design Review Board may not discuss or take legal action on matters raised during "Call to Audience."  In order to speak during "Call to Audience" please specify what you wish to discuss when completing the blue speaker card.

Kevin Howard Architects applicant representative Jay Brown, stated they will make both sides of the signs match in layout for both north and south traffic visibility.

Maracay Homes applicant representative Ed Madrid Product Development Manager, reiterated the interest on behalf of Maracay Homes in the Oro Valley area.

PLANNING UPDATE (INFORMATIONAL ONLY)

Chad Daines, Principal Planner, provided the following Planning Division Updates:

October Planning Division Update

The official project launch for Your Voice, Our Future (the General Plan Update) occurred at the State of the Town.  The project website and online surveys are up and running. You can join the conversation at YourVoiceOV.com which uses a software called Mind Mixer to gather community comments.  The Your Voice project is moving ahead with formulating materials and making preparations for outreach meetings in the coming weeks to interested groups and organizations.

The Mayor delivered the 2013 State of the Town Address on September 26th.  The address, titled "A Picture of Healthy Growth" can be viewed on the Town's website.

The Fall Community Academy - Local Governance classes are scheduled from October 10th - November 21st . The first class is this Thursday and is an Introduction to Town Government.

Work is wrapping up on the amendment to the Public Art Code.  This amendment will be considered by the Planning and Zoning Commission on November 13th and includes a Call to Artist process, amended review criteria and other changes to improve the quality of public art.Town Council approved the Conceptual Site Plan for the Stone Canyon Enclave at their October 2nd meeting.

Finally, We'd like to thank Dino Sakellar for his service on the Board for over the last two years.  Dino was an inaugural member of the Board and was a huge resource to the Town in the formation and adoption of the Design Standards and new streamlined process.  We want to wish Dino the best with his future endeavors.
