Rob Robinette, non OV resident, of Robinette Architects, Inc. said a portion of the home is two stories and is contained within the central portion of the home. The portion of the house that is two stories represents twelve percent of the entire roof structure. The project has gone through review using the setbacks and height requirements for OV. In addition the project will have to go through more restrictive setbacks and height requirements for the subdivision review.
Karen Berchtold, OV Senior Planner, presented the following:
- Location Map
- Two-story home
- Site Plan
- Floor Plans
- Colors & Materials
- Elevations
- Recommendation
Ms. Berchtold noted that the varying angles of the building mass and roof elements help reduce impact, and staff recommends approval.
Member Luckett commented that this is a very elegant house and of a quality he hopes to see more of in OV. This is the kind of architecture he believes belongs in OV. This type of design is in place for contemporary residential architecture; he wishes to see commercial and private development take on this character.
