CALL TO THE AUDIENCE - AT THIS TIME, ANY MEMBER OF THE PUBLIC IS ALLOWED TO ADDRESS THE COMMISSION ON ANY ISSUE NOT LISTED ON TODAY’S AGENDA. PURSUANT TO THE ARIZONA OPEN MEETING LAW, INDIVIDUAL COMMISSION MEMBERS MAY ASK TOWN STAFF TO REVIEW THE MATTER, ASK THAT THE MATTER BE PLACED ON A FUTURE AGENDA, OR RESPOND TO CRITICISM MADE BY SPEAKERS. HOWEVER, THE HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION MAY NOT DISCUSS OR TAKE LEGAL ACTION ON MATTERS RAISED DURING "CALL TO THE AUDIENCE." IN ORDER TO SPEAK DURING "CALL TO AUDIENCE" PLEASE SPECIFY WHAT YOU WISH TO DISCUSS WHEN COMPLETING THE BLUE SPEAKER CARD.

Councilmember Zinkin discussed the following two issues:

1) At the last regular meeting, the Town Council discussed putting a cover over the steam pump. There was an amendment to the budget which keeps the $125,000 dedicated for the "steam pump", but it leaves the issue of a preservation method to the experts. There is a 60-day moratorium. Councilmember Zinkin requested two members from the Historic Preservation Commission and two members from the Oro Valley Historical Society meet to decide the best way to spend the $125,000. He requested that the group provide a consensus to the Town Council by September.

2) He distributed a summary Steam Pump Ranch Master Plan and encouraged the commission members to share their thoughts with the Town Council during their meeting on June 4, 2014.
