REGULAR SESSION AT OR AFTER 6:00 PM

CALL TO ORDER

Chair Wood called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m.

DEPARTMENT REPORT ON CURRENT EVENTS

New Director of Parks and Recreation was introduced Roslyn Epting.
Facilities updates by department. Membership numbers in Parks and Recreation.
Halloween events were a success three events were combined into one this year.
The large dog park at Naranja Park is open again after new turf was installed.
Construction at Naranja Park is on schedule.
Work with Sites Southwest continue with regards to the Vistoso trail Nature Preserve
Community Center elevator project update
50^th town Anniversary update on events

COUNCIL LIAISON REPORT ON CURRENT EVENTS

Welcomed Scott Zufelt New IT Director, Jeffrey Hildalgo Information Officer.
Conditional use for food units permit.
Shredding event this upcoming Saturday.
Project Grad needs volunteers.

REVIEW AND APPROVAL OF THE AUGUST 1ST, 2023 SPECIAL SESSION MEETING MINUTES


				Motion by Vice Chair Gary Temple, seconded by Chair Matthew Wood

				Vote: 6 - 0 Carried

	2.			PRESENTATION AND DISCUSSION REGARDING THE COMMUNITY'S NEXT 10-YEAR ACTION PLAN, KNOWN AS OV'S PATH FORWARD
				Ms. Simms showed a PowerPoint presentation. OV Path’s Forward was explained in detail.

	3.			DISCUSSION OF COMMUNITY CENTER FINANCIAL RESULTS THROUGH SEPTEMBER 2023
				Mr. Gephart Town of Oro Valley Chief Financial Officer gave a presentation. Questions were asked by members and discussion ensued.

	4.			CONSIDERATION AND ADOPTION OF CALENDAR YEAR 2024 PARKS AND RECREATION ADVISORY BOARD MEETING SCHEDULE


				Motion by Vice Chair Gary Temple, seconded by Chair Matthew Wood

				Vote: 6 - 0 Carried

ADJOURNMENT 7:10 p.m.
				Chair Wood adjourned the meeting at 7:10 p.m.
