MOTION: A motion was made by Commissioner Leonhart and seconded by Vice Chair Gardner to approve December 17, 2009 minutes.
Motion carried, 3-0.
-Outreach Program to local schools: 2/11/10 at Wilson K-8 School, and Painted Sky Elementary School on 3/29-3/30.
-Council Budget Retreat open to public on Saturday 1/23/10 at Ventana Medical Center from 8-11 a.m.
No credit applications to report.
Handout on budget overview
-Review and discuss breakdowns and updates, budget is on track for this year.
-Lomas De Oro - 404 permit is in review with the Corps of Engineers. Design is close to completion.
Financial overview
-No mitigation funds for this year.
-Fish and Wildlife funding most likely decreased due to budget.
-U of A - waiting on funding status.
Capital Improvement Projects
-Lomas De Oro - 60% complete: working on driveway at grade crossing issue, also working with Pima County to fix waterway issues with Lambert Lane Road Improvements.
-OV Estates Ph. 2 - PCFCD (Pima County Flood Control District) money helping to fix drainage and ponding issues, coordinating with utilities to resolve issues. Expected completion by June.
-Lambert Lane - 404 permit issue: working to resolve crossing issues from La Canada to 1st Avenue.
Non Capital Projects
-Pistachio and Pomegranate - working on drainage way issues.
-Northern Ave. - working on culvert design with Pima County.
-Logan’s Crossing - horse trail issues: sand run-off caused from storm damage. PCFCD providing a study to help with design.
-Pomegranate Hill - sediment problems: installing berm to help water flow.
-OV Maps - staff is finishing or has completed locating all Town drainage ways, outfalls, detention basins, easements, first flush devices, and channels. Once maps are completed, staff will present to Commission. Recommended Commission to use maps for Council presentation.
-Education outreach on Floodplain Management.
-CDO LOMR - went into effect on January 19, 10. All levees are now FEMA certified.
-Flood Insurance - revising elevation certificate form letter to reflect a no guarantee that properties fall in or out of flood areas.
-Preliminary Defirms - Marana study was appealed, waiting for FEMA to provide a new date for the county study.
The next SWUC meeting is scheduled for February 18, 2010, at 4:00 p.m. at the Calle Concordia Conference Room.

-Discuss and Approve the need for SWUC Study Session with Council.
-Review Stormwater Credit Applications.
-Discuss Stormwater Fee and Budget.
