MOTION: A motion was made by Commissioner Hawkinson and seconded by Vice Chair DeSantis approve the March 15, 2018 regular session minutes with no changes.
Chair Wayand mentioned that Town Councilmember and Stormwater Liaison Joe Hornat was excused.
Stormwater Sr. Engineer and Acting Stormwater Utility Manager Justin Turner reported on the activities held in the month of March.
-March 1, 2018: Meeting with Highlands Mobile Home Park on floodplain issues
-March 14, 2018: Kickoff meeting for the North Ranch Wash floodplain mapping study
-March 21, 2018: Pima County Regional Flood Control Advisory Committee Meeting
-March 22, 2018: Meeting with USACE on Double Eagle Wash
-March 26, 2018: Town of Oro Valley Magistrate Court (Delinquent Accounts)
Mr. Turner discussed a new sub-division, Linda Vista Boulder. Property sits on an upper tributary of Carmack Wash.No Change from last month's status.Mr. Turner explained that the Stormwater Utility has had coordination with Pima County Region Flood Control District (PCRFCD) this last month.
Coordinating to clean out the following:
-CDO Wash Channel
-Logan's Crossing Wash
-Rancho Feliz Drainage Channel
-PCRFCD rejected the sediment removal from the box culvert at the Highlands Wash at Lambert Ln. This project was completed in house using Stormwater Utility funds.
Mr. Turner reminded the commissioners about the grant sent to DEMA (Arizona equivalent to FEMA which is the local chapter) for the Catalina Ridge Channel. DEMA responded that we did not meet the criteria. A Notice of Intent letter has been resubmitted to DEMA for the next funding period.
Commissioner David Parker suggested to include the Highlands Wash Channel for DEMA funds.Mr. Turner showed the commissioners the types of sites that he would like to show them on the field trip.

-Coordination with Pima Co. Regional Flood Control District: LOMR's, Studies, and Watercourse Maintenance
-Verification of Municipal Operation's good housekeeping practicesField trip has been scheduled for Tuesday, May 1 at 7AM starting at 680 W Calle Concordia.
The Stormwater financial information was reviewed and discussed.
Community Development and Public Works Assistant Director Aimee Ramsey provided information about programmed expenditures.
Agenda items for the next Stormwater Utility Commission meeting were discussed and approved with the following updates:

The next regular session meeting is scheduled for May 17, 2018 in the Hopi Conference Room at 4:00 p.m.
