Stormwater Sr. Engineer Justin Turner reported that we received a letter from the contractor and that they are going to continue with construction, permit review and permit acquisition at this time. Regarding soil stabilization, we have a Stormwater inspector actively visiting the site doing post-rain inspections.Mr. Turner stated that attendees were from Sahuarita, Nogales, Marana, Tucson, Pima County and Oro Valley. We now know who to contact if we have a significant event that requires some sort of cross jurisdictional coordination.Mr. Turner stated that the Canada Hills HOA had an interest in building a pilot channel. We recommended that they put in gabions for bank protection instead. Public Works Assistant Director Aimee Ramsey stated that if they do the gabions for bank protection the 404 permit would not be needed. This meeting was attended by Stormwater Division Manager Mike Todnem.Mr. Turner stated these meetings are held the third Wednesday of each month and that he will look into whether the August meeting has been cancelled. Commissioner Parker asked if the Pima Association of Governments Environmental Planning Advisory Committee (PAG EPAC) still has a stormwater subgroup. Ms. Ramsey stated that we just appointed a new representative. Mr. Turner said we will find out who is on the committee and report back to the commissioners.
Mr. Turner reported that we received both these documents for 680 W Calle Concordia and the Golf Course Maintenance Facility. We are still reviewing the documents.Calle Buena Vista at Carmack Wash

Logan's CrossingMr. Turner stated that the plan was to remove and lower rock riprap downstream and to do regrading to allow the water to flow down into the wash rather than down the shoulder of the road.Mr. Turner stated that there were drainage concerns where water was ponding on the street going into the neighbor's yard to the south. The channel was lowered and the ponding was eliminated.Mr. Turner reported that we are in the process of identifying properties that have not been billed Stormwater Utility fees. We will begin to notify the owners and to generate billing.Chair Wayand stated that these before-and-after-cleanup pictures illustrate that it pays to be proactive.
