Mayor Hiremath called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m.

Mayor Hiremath led the audience in the Pledge of Allegiance.
Communications Administrator Misti Nowak announced the upcoming Town meetings and events.
Councilmember Snider arrived to the meeting at 6:01 p.m.
Vice Mayor Waters and Councilmember Hornat attended the As the World Trades Conference in Phoenix at which they discussed trade opportunities with Mexico.
Councilmember Zinkin reported that the National League of Cities and Towns were lobbying for the following projects:
-Protect municipal bonds
-Comprehensive Immigration Reform
-End online sales tax breaks
Councilmember Garner reported that the American Diabetes Association was holding their Tucson Tour de Cure special event on March 3rd.
No reports were received.
Mayor Hiremath stated that the agenda would stand as posted.
apologized for breaking the Sign Code by leaving an event directional A-frame sign out in front of Amarsi's restaurant all afternoon after a Valentine's Day luncheon.
said that the volunteer selection process needed to be reviewed.
Mayor Hiremath presented Plaques of Appreciation to the following outgoing Board and Commission Members:
-Gil Alexander, Conceptual Design Review Board
-Lois Nagy, Historic Preservation Commission
-Valerie Pullara, Historic Preservation Commission
-Karen Chatterton, Parks and Recreation Advisory Board
-John Scheuring, Parks and Recreation Advisory Board
-James Dunn, Storm Water Utility Commission
-Michael Gardner, Storm Water Utility Commission
-Ralph Stein, Storm Water Utility Commission
Councilmember Zinkin requested that items (B) and (C) be removed from the Consent Agenda for discussion.

Resolution No. (R)13-09, affirming the Town of Oro Valley’s commitment to share in the construction of a shade structure for the Fixed Archery Range at Naranja Park contingent on the successful procurement of a shooting range development grant from the Arizona Game and Fish Department in the amount of $35,000 |
MOTION: A motion was made by Councilmember Snider and seconded by Vice Mayor Waters to Approve Consent Agenda items (A) and (D).
MOTION carried, 7-0.
Councilmember Zinkin questioned the Return on Investment (ROI) for each category listed in the quarterly report.
Dave Perry, President and CEO of the Greater Oro Valley Chamber of Commerce, stated that calculating ROI was not black and white but subjective to some extent. Mr. Perry said that the most impactful measure to creating ROI was the sale of OV Dollars.
MOTION: A motion was made by Councilmember Zinkin and seconded by Vice Mayor Waters to Accept item (B).
MOTION carried, 7-0.
Councilmember Zinkin thanked the MTCVB for all of the great work that they had done for the Town in the last quarter.
MOTION: A motion was made by Councilmember Zinkin and seconded by Vice Mayor Waters to Accept item (C).
MOTION carried, 7-0.
This item was removed from the agenda on 2/19/13.
No future agenda items were requested.
