TOWN MANAGER'S REPORT
- Update on Town Operations
- COVID-19 Town Update and Possible Discussion Thereon

Town Manager Mary Jacobs provided an overview of Economic Development week and recognized the Oro Valley Community and Economic Development team for their efforts in providing outreach to local businesses. Ms. Jacobs also provided an overview of activities performed by the Oro Valley Chamber of Commerce, Visit Tucson and other partners that provided assistance to local businesses during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Ms. Jacobs and Oro Valley Police Chief Kara Riley provided an update regarding the COVID-19 pandemic that included Police Department and Emergency Operation Center updates and recognition of staff and Town partners for their service during the pandemic.
Discussion ensued amongst Council and staff regarding the COVID-19 Town Update.
Ms. Jacobs provided the following information regarding the COVID-19 pandemic:
- Status of communication with Pima County counterparts
- Possible reimbursement of COVID-19 related expenses through Pima County from the allocation of the Federal Cares Act funds
- Re-opening guidelines and policies for the Town of Oro Valley
- Amendment to the Mayor's Declaration of Emergency
- Finalization of the recommended budget
Discussion continued amongst Council and staff regarding the COVID-19 Town updates. |
