CALL TO ORDER
             
ROLL CALL
Present: Joseph Cuffari, Chair  
  Joan Brown, Vice Chair  
  Richard Hawkinson, Commissioner

Justin Turner, Senior Stormwater Engineer
Bill Rodman, Town Council Liaison
  The Stormwater Utility Commission Meeting was held electronically via Zoom. Commissioner Hawkinson attended by telephone.
             
CALL TO AUDIENCE

Stormwater Division Manager John Spiker provided instructions regarding conduct and participation in the Zoom meeting.

Chair Cuffari noted there were members of the audience in attendance, however, there were no speaker requests or raised hands during the Call to Audience.
             
COUNCIL LIAISON COMMENTS (INFORMATIONAL ONLY)

Council Liaison Bill Rodman provided an update on the status of the Town budget and reported that the FY 20/21 Budget was passed.
             
DIRECTORS REPORT (INFORMATIONAL ONLY)

Mr. Spiker reported that there are two seats on the Stormwater Utility Commission Board that are opened to be filled. We will be pursuing the filling of those seats in September.
             
REGULAR SESSION AGENDA
             
   1. REVIEW AND APPROVAL OF THE JUNE 18, 2020 MEETING MINUTES
             
  Motion by Commissioner Richard Hawkinson, seconded by Commissioner Jack Stinnett to approve the June 18, 2020 regular session minutes as written.

  Vote: 4 - 0 Carried
             
   2. DISCUSSION OF MEETINGS AND EVENTS
  Mr. Spiker reported on Stormwater meetings and events.
             
   3. DISCUSSION OF BIGHORN FIRE AND IMPACTS
  Mr. Spiker reported on the impacts of the Bighorn Fire and that at this time there are approximately 119,500 acres burned, that is the largest forest fire in Pima County history, and it is about 90% contained. It is believed that the upcoming monsoon season will bring 100% containment.  We will then move on to the next phase of potential flooding. Mr. Spiker reported on the efforts by the Town and Pima County regarding outreach to residents, maintenance and post fire hazard mitigation mapping. 
             
   4. DISCUSSION OF THE PIMA COUNTY FLOOD CONTROL DISTRICT AND TOWN OF ORO VALLEY RESTUDY OF THE NORTH RANCH WASH
  Senior Stormwater Engineer Justin Turner reported on the restudy of North Ranch Wash. 
 
             
   5. DISCUSSION OF THE FALL 2020 STORMWATER UTILITY COMMISSION FIELD TRIP 
  Discussion ensued regarding the potential date for the October field trip and the availability of the commissioners for attendance.  The question was raised about our ability to maintain social distancing during the trip if those rules are still in place.

  Motion by Vice Chair Joan Brown, seconded by Commissioner Richard Hawkinson to adjourn the meeting.

  Vote: 4 - 0 Carried
  Chair Cuffari adjourned the meeting at 4:47 p.m.
